They Lied! A Parent Manual Does Exist :)

Honestly, who started that rumor? I am a Psychologist that has read thousands and thousands of pages on all the research that has been done on understanding our children and understanding ourselves when it comes to parenting. I have spent thousands and thousands of days working hands on with children and families and seeing what works and what does not work. It is time for us to change that mantra. Saying that no parenting manual exists seems to absolve us of the responsibility of parenting responsibly. Now what I can say is that there is no perfect parenting, because we have flaws as do our children. However, through our flaws we find perfection as we learn how to relate, how to protect and how to raise our children to be empowered and live purposeful lives.

Before we get to that chapter of our manual (The manual that you will create by taking this parenting course). We will start by accepting and loving ourselves and our children just the way we are. We will acknowledge any challenging circumstances you want to shift and than our journey will begin. Your manual will be custom made with the latest research in how to change behavior by changing the environment, how to understand what children are communicating with their behavior, how to teach children to effectively communicate and how to deal with their emotions. Lastly, you will learn how you were raised may impact your current parenting style. One step at a time you will build a parenting repertoire that you and your children deserve.
